quote of the moment
"It's fine Lucy.
Thank goodness you weren't near a maternity ward.
I'd feel bad all those mothers going "Why is that young man punching my baby?" And I'd be like "Uh. I accidentally called him da.. that name he doesn't like."

WARNING:
Remember, this is a PG-13 forum, so you should be prepared to handle mild cursing/violence/romance in RPs. As this goes, Evansbourgh also allows both male and female slash along with various other pairings. You have been warned.
JOINING.
You have four days to post your application. The template is simple, and we've explained everything on what you have to do on it. If an account has been registered for any period of time over four days and has yet to submit an application, it will be terminated.
We ask that you have one account per character. It can become pretty confusing when two people are RPing off the same account, and doubles aren't truly necessary. They would just clog up the forum
This site is Pg-13; therefore cursing is allowed and almost expected. I will not, however, tolerate excessive profanities. As far as things go, colorful dialect is A-okay in out of character boards, but I'd prefer if it was limited to role-plays. If you believe that your thread is going to branch into a mature topic then you must edit your thread title and tag on an [R] or [M]
Simple enough, eh?
If after reading about a certain character (example; Blair) and you would like to be one of the family members listed please PM the that member requesting to be a sibling, parent, or other family member. They will be required to tell you a few things about the character unless they don't mind what you do with them. After speaking with them PM both Blair Holland, Morgan Kelso to tell us that you were given the premission to be a family member.
ROLE-PLAYING.
You will not role-play until one of the staff members has accepted your application and has moved it. You will simply just chat to us on the c-box and lurk around. You'll most likely get accepted.
Three hundred word minimum - there is a word counter at the bottom of the posting screen.
Of course, we're going to ask you not to god-mod and power play. It's literally impossible.
No chatspeak, please.
Spell check.
Don't have MS word? Well, there's a spell check key at the bottom of the posting screen.
Now, I don't want to sound harsh, but be descriptive. It gets boring read a long post that is terrible. Such as: "There was a green apple on the table that tasted good." You could turn that into at least two or three sentences and it would sound like it came from a 1000 page novel.
Names and Celebrities. For names, we don't want someone to be using a celebrity name. For example, if you're going to make your character's name Nicole Richie - we'd rather you switch her name to maybe, Nancy or something? Be original. :]
Okay, I'm not trying to sound evil and mean and horrible, but please only make/join as many threads or plots as you can handle. That also goes for characters. If you already have three characters and you have too many things to post on with them, why would you make another character? I know from experience that it gets extremely irksome when you have been waiting days or even hours for a post that you were expecting a long time ago. Thanks. <3.
OOC
Starting any fights or major arguments on the out of character boards won't be tolerated; neither will do so over the c-box. It's one thing to debate, another thing for that debate to becoming heated. If you feel that it's truly necessary, take the fight to private messages.
Eh, no signatures over 500px in width will be allowed on our forum. It'll stretch the board and just ruin the overall appeal. If any signatures over the stated size are posted, they will be removed instantly and a warning will issued to your account. Two warnings will get you permanently suspended from the site. The other admins and I are pretty lenient when it comes to the whole rule factor, and we also believe that a third won't be necessary when it comes to account termination.
Please, please, PLEASE do not spend all of your time talking in the c-box. That will result in the deletion of the c-box. This forum was created for role-playing not just hanging around and chatting, though it is perfectly acceptable to chat between posts, we just don't want you to spend all of your time sitting at the bottom of the main page.
Keep your swearing to a minimum when you are out of character. We do not want to see post after post with a sentence full of swear words that makes no sense.
No Spamming Basically this means no double posting. I should not see your posts back to back, for you can always go back and edit your last post. I also don’t want to catch a glimpse posts with less than three words, unless you’re partaking in some sort of game. Please take into consideration that it's rude if you just go in reply and type; asdfghjkl or something when they are communicating with others.
No Flaming As far as things go for Evans, we're all equal. I don't want anyone making fun or mocking another one of their fellow members. Come on now, there are enough fights and wars going on offline. Let's keep the peace on this little ole forum, kay?
No Unnecessary OOC! Ech. It's okay if you want to post on a thread to ask to join or something, but if you’re going to spend most of your time posting in the role-play area in ooc, I’m afraid that I might just have to remove you from the site. Use the OOC area for you’re out of character chatting/planning/plotting, not the role-play boards.
No Chat speak. Nope. Never. It just will not be tolerated. The only words or phrases that will be accepted when shortened are: wtf, lol, lmao, ily, ihy and ikr. Other than those commonly used phrases, I don't want to see short hands. You're typing for crying out loud! It's fast and easy!
